I'm Back!

Ok...So I am back running and exercising!  I started on Monday and ran 3 miles and then will start a new exercise class for 10 weeks...6 days a week on Saturday.  Call me crazy that I am going to run and do kickboxing, but I figure if I am going to be exhausted, I might as well do it looking good!

Running post #10

6 days until the 1/2 marathon. I am so excited..although a little worried. I have not trained on hills and I have a feeling that this is going to be a very hilly course. Oooooh goodness! Oh by the way...my ass lost 10 pounds! Who says running a 1/2 marathon can't get you back into shape.

Running Post #9

Two weeks until the big day!  I ran 10 miles on Monday..didn't throw up and felt darn good after.  Decided to take the next three days off..I am sure that my run today will be enjoyable..not.  Sooooo I lost 10 pounds and I feel darn good...God loves me and let's me run so I am skinny and happy.  I would probably still be happy if I wasn't skinny..definitely wouldn't be happy if I couldn't run.

Running Post #8

I had to work ALLLL weekend and didn't get a chance to run my 10 miler.  So I decided that I am going to venture to the gym tonight to attempt the impossible on a treadmill.  I hope to God that I don't get bored and fall off.  I finally bit the bullet and bought a pair of earphones to listen to the tv at the gym.  If I wasn't so darn cheap I would buy an I-Pod.  Ohhhh..what to do!

Running Post #7

Well...long time no write.  I would like to say that my 1/2 marathon training is coming along nicely...but I decided to drink WAY to much wine at the winery I was at on Saturday night and couldn't run past 7 miles on Sunday ( I was supposed to run a 9 miler).  What do you do?

Running Post #6

Ran 4 miles on Thursday and kicked butt.  Ran each at 7:30 pace.  Felt strong and thought, "Hey I going to run my long run of 7 miles on Friday".  So what did I do??  I didn't drink any water and thought I was going to lose it at 3.  BUT no,  I forced myself to finish then I went home, waited to eat, and then threw up.  Great night.

Running Post #5

Ran Monday and Tuesday.  Felt like crap on Monday and forced myself to do 3.5 miles.  I don't think I ran faster than 8:15 miles.  Tuesday, felt much better and ran 4 miles at 7:45 pace.   
I really need to run today..but I have my hiphop aerobics class to attend and I am going to be performing moves that white girls should not do.  I might be too incapable to do anything after my weekly embarrassment.

Running Post #4

So I ran 6 miles yesterday and didn't die.  That's right kids...I didn't die.  Could of ran 7 miles...no I couldn't of, that was a lie!  Ha!  I am taking a rest and will run again tomorrow, not 6 miles...three.  and lift. and maybe die after that from sore muscles.  Why am I doing this again?

Running Post #3

Ran three miles again today.  Felt good and I should have ran faster..but I wanted to feel good- HA!   I am excited to run my 1/2 marathon, but I hope that I am in shape by May 3rd...it is going to be close, really close, really really close.  I might need a running partner to make sure I am running like I should.

Running Post #2

Did I say 8:00 minute three milers?  Let me correct myself...8:30 minute 3 milers.  Don't want to get too ahead of myself.  
Weightloss?
Does anyone ever wonder how you can  work your butt off for a week straight and gain weight?  As I stepped onto the scale this morning..I noticed that after running five days last week that I actually gained TWO pounds.  What the?!?!?!?!   These are my reasons as to why I think that I have gained the weight
a.  Too much pop
b.  Too much pasta
c.  Weightlifted one day
d.  all of the above

I would prefer to go with C, but unfortunately I like my pop with a bit of Spaghetti.

1st running post
I hate that I have decided to run a 1/2 marathon. I ran one 3 years ago and now my booty is big and I have decided that instead of watching what I eat that I am going to run 13.1 miles. Who does that? Not only that, but because I ran in college..that evidently qualifies me to jump into 8:00 minute three mile runs with no training. Sooooooo this is my third week and I need to run 5 days with a six miler on Sunday.
I need to be more positive.
